On the sidelines of the Mountain Planet 2026 international trade fair, the International Organisation of Cableway Transport (OITAF) is organising a technical seminar on the morning of 22 April, prepared by its Study Committee No. I (responsible for general technical provisions).
The theme chosen by OITAF aims to highlight the diversity of needs and applications that cableway technology can satisfy. In particular, the objective is to show how, using relatively standardised technology, it is possible to configure a facility or design additional provisions to meet specific and diverse operational requirements.
The seminar presentations, given by professionals involved in the design, construction and operation of cableways from different countries, will illustrate this idea through concrete examples of developments in recent years.
This selection of applications will show how ideas evolve, are enriched and take shape through contact with others, and the seminar will be an exciting forum for participants to exchange information, knowledge and perspectives.
